Although God is One; God is both external of existence and internal as existence. The reason why God is both internal and external of existence is two-fold: internal- and external (one in reality) self-preservation. All of existence (creation) returns to source; source must therefore be outside of existence in order to safeguard itself but foremost existence itself. If God would not exist outside of existence; existence would be unable to return to God. See it as a Parent and Child relationship like a Father's Love for his Son who are in reality One. Feel free to replace the word God with Love for God is Love.
