The Purpose of the Ego is Companionship.

There are several ways to understand the meaning- and purpose of Life. One way is through the realization that there is only God, the other way is through the realization that there is only Self. Both are valid for God and Self are One and the same. God is Self. There is only One Self equates to there is only God. There seems to be a lot of confusion about the ego so I would like to set the record straight. I believe it is Rumi who said that the Ego is the Veil between Human and God. That is correct. The purpose of the ego is to be able to experience Companionship. There is only God desiring Companionship. You see, there is no separation between God and Human. God is Human. God and Human are One. This One is not external; it is Self. Self is undivided but perceives itself as variegated not to be alone.  But let's just continue with God for it is easier understood. God is undivided but desires to perceive itself as divided or rather diversified or variegated in order to consummate this innate desire for Companionship, to Love and Be Loved in return. There is thus nothing wrong with the ego per se as long as Humankind, which is essentially God perceiving itself as diversified, remembers the purpose of the Ego is not to cause suffering, fear or anxiety but to be able experience Companionship, Friendship, Love. Naturally it is correct to state that separation aka division is a sensory illusion designed for the very purpose to be able to experience Companionship. The sensory perception of division exists in the mind-body complex alone. What it means is that Self veils itself in order not to feel alone. Or, in other words; God veils itself in order not to feel alone for Life is in truth not Life; Life is God experiencing itself as itself and calling itself Life. All this for Love, not to feel alone, to experience Companionship. There where we see others is in truth but God perceiving itself as otherness not to be alone, for Companionship, for Love. There where we see others is in truth but Self perceiving itself as otherness not to be alone, for Companionship, for Love. Same!  Love is the meaning- and purpose of Life for Life is God/Self experiencing itself as Life for Love. All is always G-d for there is only G-d. It must simply be remembered that the purpose of Life is Love.
