Self materializes itself. We are materialzing ourselves. The answer to the question as to what is self is the need to love and be loved otherwise known as consciousness or God. What it means is that God desires Love therefore resulting in self-materialization for the sole purpose to physicially experience Love itself. It is correct; the need to love and be loved is the one and only existential truth. The matter of life is thus not to be negated but celebrated for it is the utmost high self can accomplish.
