There is only oneself and the purpose of self is love.

The original meaning of words ‘before abraham i am’ is ‘before brahman ayam’. What it means is that ‘self is the eternal one’ and similarly that ‘self is eternally one’. All that is here oneself perceiving itself as differentiated for companionship, friendship, love. As such it can be said that there is only god and the purpose of god is love, i.e., that there is only oneself and the purpose of self is love.
