Self is Love.

The ultimate goal is not to understand that 'i am the eternal servant of god, kṛṣṇa or christ' but that kṛṣṇa (christ) is svá (shiva) as in 'self not wanting to be by itself' and that, as such, the purpose of self is love. That's all there is to it. Love plain and simple. This is self-realization.
