Self best forget about this nonsense that god is either a 'he' or a 'she' for god is self as in sē (in latin) or sve, śvā, śva, swá, shva or shiva (in sanskrit) not wanting to be by itself. What it means is that 'all this is self' and that the purpose why self has created itself to perceive itself as self-differentiated, as wo-man-ity, is companionship, friendship, love. Hence the meaning of life. The meaning of life is love for life is self experiencing itself as self-differentiated or biodiverse so not to be alone. One's purpose it is love as surely as a dove cooing high from above.
