In order to understand the purpose of space one must understand the purpose of self. The purpose of self not to feel by itself. The purpose of self companionship, friendship, love. As such the purpose of space. The purpose of space is love. Or more lyrically. The purpose of space so self could embrace itself. Warmth is a good word. So is companionship. So is friendship.
