I was at a bar and I started talking to the man next to me. We ended up talking about the nature of reality and the meaning of life. Truth to be told. I always initiate with the questions. Eventually (after the second beer) he told me that he believed the ego is unreal and that only the Self is real. Very deep. I mean. Who knows about this stuff? But was he correct? Here's the simple answer. The Ego cannot not be Real for there is only the Real. Then what is the purpose of the Ego? The purpose of the Ego is so the Real would not be alone. It's all about Companionship, about Friendship, about Love really. Hence we go from Genesis 2:18 and arrive at Mark 12:30-31 as the two are directly related to each other. I am sure those who wrote these passages down must have gone to quite an ordeal to realize the above. Blessings.
