Shiva, What It Really Means.

It is thought that shiva is derived from the word sheva, which means seven, signifying the seven days of mourning. Naturally there is a higher truth. Shiva is not only derived from sheva which means seven; shiva literally means self aka seven. Now that we have clarified the meaning of the word shiva we can continue on to the purpose of shiva. The purpose of shiva, which is self really, is not to be alone which is the why of life. Life's purpose is companionship, friendship, love.
