Where did all the Energy/Matter in the Universe come from?

People sure love to use words. Take for example the zero energy universe hypothesis which suggests that gravity could could be seen as negative energy potential and that gravity balances out matter and energy so that if you sum them up you get zero. My goodness. Talk about circumventing the truth. Truth is simple.
