It is only through veiling itself that self - or that which we call the initial singularity in science - can experience companionship itself. Now the veil has a negative and a plus. You just cannot have one without the other. That's just the way it is, or rather, that's just how the way or self is. The negative is that the veil - or the illusion of separateness - causes self induced anxiety and sadness for after all; if you see everything as separate you are definitely are going to have 'separation issues' which may unfortunately lead to arguments, divorce, war and suffering when loved ones 'appear' to pass. Now the plus does override the negative. The plus is that self can experience companionship, friendship and love and this is the reason why love has priority when it comes to all matters of the word aka the world.
