I had the pleasure to engage in a rather interesting philosophical conversation about the purpose of time with a friend over a light summery lunch. I basically told her that time is the result of the unwillingness of self to feel by itself which is why time seems to vanish once we and our partner have aligned ourselves to our fundamental reason of being. She told me that a wave could never wake up the sea. As such. I told her the wave is the sea. The sea has the ability to reflect upon itself and to realize who- and why it is. Who it is is one not wishing to be alone and why it is is companionship otherwise known as love. An interesting luncheon surely it was.
