Is The Universe Itself Alive?

It is said in some of the science literature that the universe is not a living thing. Naturally this is born of outdated thinking rooted in the illusion of separation. It is erroneous to make a distinction between living- and non living things for there is only one consciousness. Not that it matters for all that matters is love. You see, the reason of this one consciousness which calls itself the universe, the world and life is not to be or rather feel alone which is why it veils itself as manifoldness, as life. Life's one true purpose? It is companionship, friendship, love.
