The False Premise of Most Self-Help Books.

The faulty premise of most self help books is that they reason from a pattern of deluded ideas that sound something like this: 1) we are imperfect beings 2) we are completely separate from each other and thus alone in the world 3) there exists a lack or limitation or imperfectness that needs to be overcome. In other words; they start with the false premise that you are not completely perfect already as you are and that there exists a lack or limitation which you need to overcome. Truth is that this illusory sense of lack or limitation is born out of self-ignorance and that this self-ignorance of not being perfect can only be overcome through self-realization.
