We are not 'just' waves but the ocean and the reason why the ocean is waves, why the ocean is life, is companionship also known as love. This is not a sentimental statement but a self-evident fact. Therefore, if we perceive ourselves as divided, as separate, as completely detached from everything, then life naturally becomes confusing. However, if we can return to the truth, if we acknowledge that all apparent otherness exists for togetherness, then it all makes sense, then living life becomes blissful, joyful and serene. This is the divine understanding. It is the understanding that the purpose of self is love which is why self is different in life.
